Overlanding

Looking for a real adventure?

How about camping your way across Africa or South America in a modified bus that looks more like it belongs in a Mad Max movie? This is called “Overlanding” and it’s been around for over 30 years.

It’s a combination of cost savings and a chance to really get off the beaten track. The buses are designed to be self-sufficient with long term fuel tanks, water supplies, camping equipment and food prep and storage facilities. Inside you’ll find a cooler, safe, library, stereo and storage for your things. This definitely isn’t your run of the mill bus trip.

That being said, it’s also a really cool way to explore a country. You’ll make life long friends with memories and stories you’ll be telling long after you return home. You all kick in to help with the chores including cooking and keeping the inside of the bus clean. Along for the ride you find a driver/mechanic and a tour leader who will keep things on track.

In the price of the tour will be a number of activities, tours and entrance fees. Trips can last anywhere from ten days to over a hundred. Imagine the ultimate road trip across an entire continent! Whether its Africa or South America, you’ll see the major sites and many that other tourists will never encounter.
